In the past I have relied on partying to heal from pain. I would go out and stay out late, and meet up with guys who were not good for me. I am committed to not use these types of negative coping mechanisms of partying too much and everything that entails (drinking, intimacy for the sake of feeling temporarily important and needed) to get over this. Instead I will try going to see a therapist, writing in my online journal and reaching out to family and friends. I will be patient with myself along this journey and take time to cry whenever and wherever I need to.
